Week of May 18--Fake vs. Real
Not everything on the internet is real. This website has a fun lesson about how to tell if things online are fake or real. Try some of the things they suggest!
Week of May 11--Personification
Listen to this funny story! Watch for ways that the alligator is acting like a human. When an animal acts like a human in a story, we call that personification. Now click on this form to tell me all the ways you found that the alligator acted like a human.
Week of May 4--Evaluating Websites
Some websites are good to learn from and some are not. To learn more about ways to evaluate a website, go to the orange bar at the top of this page and hover over "Library Lessons". Now click on "Evaluating Websites" and follow the directions on that page.
Week of April 27--The Butterfly Effect
OK, not a library lesson this week, but a LIFE lesson. I love this book SOOOO much that we have to read it at least once every year and we haven't read it yet this year! After you've listened to the story, click on this form to answer 3 simple questions.

Week of April 6--Author's Purpose
Watch the video below. After you've listened to the story, decide why you think the author wrote this book. The 3 main reasons for an author to write a book are: 1. to PERSUDE you to believe something, 2. to INFORM or teach you something, and 3. to ENTERTAIN you. However, there could also be other reasons an author might write a book. Click on this form to enter your answer. An email will be sent to Ms. J. so she can see your answer. After you've filled out the form, you can click here to see what Ms. J's guess is as to why the author wrote the story.

Week of March 13--Did you know we can play Kahoot remotely? Woohoo!
Directions:
- on Wednesday at 10 am Ms. J. will host a Kahoot game for the entire 4th grade (we'll find out if we can have that many players)
- go to the home page of Ms. J's website and click on the Kahoot button
- type in this Game Pin: (game over)
- choose a nickname and then wait for the game to begin
- This should be fun!
