Week of April 20--Making Connections
Making connections with a story makes you a better reader. While you're watching the video below, if the story reminds you of something, press the pause button and tell me or someone in your family what your connection is. Does something in the story remind you of another book you've read? Does it remind you of a movie? Does it remind you of something that's happened to you or someone you know? During the story, I told about some of the connections I made with the book.
Week of April 13--Fiction or Non-fiction?
Listen to "When A Dragon Moves In" and then decide if you think it's fiction (fake) or non-fiction (not fake.) Tell someone a reason that you think the story is fiction or non-fiction.
